Forgetting your target market

Sitting here watching the SuperBowl, and I have to say the Budweiser commercial with the crabs is hilarious…but…
isn’t their target market something like 21-34-year-old men? Who are unlikely to have seen the children’s movie, Ice Age 2? I mean, you have to watched the scene with Sid the sloth and his "worshippers" for this to be funny!
It’s kinda nice to see a big company make a branding mistake once in a while! Sometimes, going for the laugh or the "cute" option backfires. Good for us as solo entrepreneurs to remember!
