Resources for Hiring a Virtual Assistant
By: Alicia Smith
As a wrap up to this series on hiring help I thought I would share with you some of my favorite resources.
I always start a search for help by asking people I know who they would recommend. When I’m looking for someone to work for me locally then I let everyone I know what type of person I’m looking for and the tasks I need done. Every time I’ve done this I’ve had good success. I’ve never run a “Help Wanted Ad.”
When my needs are more virtual, or skill specific, I still put the word out to my friends and associates but this time I expand my request to include virtual and wide spread contacts as well. As many of you know I am a distributor for Inscape Products and Send Out Cards. If the support I need is related to one of those business lines I’ve had good success hiring newer distributors. There are a number of people who would like to learn about how to be successful in their new business from you, while getting paid.
As I gather recommendations I also visit the following sites to see if there is a match for what I need/want done.
