One of the things I’ve realized is how many of my women entrepreneurial goddess clients feel torn between spirituality and materiality.  They really want more money to have a better life for themselves and their families, they want more travel experiences, and to experience a life of beauty.

They worry that somehow making more money and talking about material things isn’t spiritual.  Well, through my own winding path with this question, what I now know for sure is that we are spiritual beings having a human experience. Part of the human experience is enjoying life, all the beauty, the delightful relationships, the amazing places and the sun shining on your face with the breeze blowing through your hair in a convertible! And yes, money helps make some of those experiences possible. (doesn’t mean you’ll enjoy them….)

When we first got this beautiful car (it’s a Solstice) I felt a little unsure.  I had to confront my own limiting beliefs about “who am I to be SEEN in such a beautiful car” and I wondered if I was being too materialistic.

What I know for sure (thank you Oprah!) is that I smile everytime I drive with the top down! I laugh with delight as the morning sun warms my face and I hum along to Jack Johnson!  I feel so grounded, delighted, in a good mood and filled with a positive energy. I do believe the universe conspires for our well-being. And that we are meant to enjoy it.

And what I know is that money is a just a transfer of energy (it has no meaning without us)…it can bring us joy and it can leave us numb.  It’s not about the money…it’s about our how much joy are you will to allow in?

Ok, one more “what I know for sure” - for the first time ever in January, I commited $1000 to Women for Women International as a result of my first 100 sales of the Joyful Business Guide. ($10 for each system sold goes to Women for Women) THAT feels good….if I was ignoring my financial picture in my business I wouldn’t be able to contribute in that way.
