Quick Tip on Confidently Handling that Dreaded Money Moment

Here’s a quick tip on confidently handling that dreaded “money moment” in your client conversations with grace and ease:
In every potential client conversation there is a “money moment” when it’s time for you to quote your fees. I bet that when that mo-ney moment arrives your heart sinks and your stomach does a quick somersault. (I’m right here, aren’t I?!)
Believe me, practically everyone feels this way!
The reason we fear that money moment is because we’re afraid that in that instant, we’ll be cut off, left out, or rejected in some way. Suddenly, this isn’t just about business, it’s personal.
So what can you do?
First, remember that the mo-ney moment is an opportunity for you and your prospective client to forge a deeper, more intimate relationship.
Conversations about mo-ney are some of the most intimate conversations we can possibly have with another human being, so look at that moment as your chance to connect—at a soul level—with what your prospective client REALLY wants from your work together.
If you’ve dug deep and you’re both clear about the practical AND emotional outcomes your client wants, and are just as clear about the consequences of NOT working together, then the mo-ney moment will simply be a natural next step in the building of a strong, solid client relationship.
