Want Your Next Launch to Be a Profitable One?
By: hgraves | Leave a comment

Probably the biggest mistake I see people making with their product launches is to consider the promotion of a product as separate from the development of the product. (And this holds true even if your “product” is a program or event.)
Proper preparation produces profitable promotions.
(Say that 5 times fast!)
You have to have a plan and you have to start taking action to promote the product almost as soon as you have the idea for the product.
Unless you’ve been living in a cave, you know by now that it takes multiple contacts to create a sale. Sure, every once in a while you catch someone at just the right time and they buy right away. But most statistics show that people need 7-9 exposures to an offer before it really sinks in.
And before you get all “I’m not in it for the money, Helen, I just want to help people” on me, I know you’re not a money-grubbing snake oil salesman. We wouldn’t be friends if you were.
But please don’t be afraid — or ashamed — of selling your products, programs and services. That’s HOW you help people. It’s false modesty to downplay your offers.
So don’t wait until you’ve dotted the last “i” and crossed the final “t” before telling your list about that fabulous new thing you’ve created. Start dropping hints, sharing tips and offering preview teleseminars to introduce your latest innovation even before it’s finished.
Give your peeps a chance to get used to the idea. They’ll be better prepared to say yes when you do get around to making the offer.
P.S. I’ve got what I can unabashedly say is a terrific teleseminar coming up on Oct. 29. No cost to you. It’s called “Are They Sick of You Yet? How to Conduct a Profitable Email Campaign without Annoying Your List.” Sign up for it here: http://snipurl.com/profitable-email
