Cookies and Coffee

Today, we are going to be asking you to do something very fun and that will make you the talk of the town!
Send coffee and chocolate chip cookies or muffins to 10 reputable business leaders in your community with your business card attached, thanking them for their outstanding customer service and their contribution to the community. These businesses should be businesses whom you patronize and whom you truly believe have offered you outstanding customer service. This makes the gesture genuine.
You can do this on a holiday, yet it is more powerful if you do it on a day when folks least expect the gesture. Follow up with a phone call to inquire if they received the gift and to once again thank them for their contribution to your life and to the community.
This is one of the best things that you can do to spread the message about your business.
If your target market is more virtual or internet based than local then you might want to consider mailing them another type of gift. I like motivational books, Starbucks coffee certificates, or cookie bouquets. You can go to
www.google.com and search for cookie bouquets. There are lots to choose from. My clients have never been disappointed when a bouquet arrives.
As a check for what you have sent out you may want to review your budget as well today. Make sure you are staying within your limits and keeping up with what you want to do.
Be the bearer of good tidings today!

Alicia, I love this idea! Creative, unexpected, and generous! It has a sort of pay-it-forward feel, too — you aren’t asking them for anything at all. Brilliant!
