I hope you’re finding time for a wonderful Cyber Monday! It was a beautiful, spring-like weekend here in New Hampshire, capped (for me) by an interview last night with Connie Ragen Green on her Blog Talk Radio show. You can listen to it here, if you like! We explored the topic of finding time to create an on-line business while working full time.
The interview with Connie was a fascinating experience, and if you don’t know about it already, Blog Talk radio is both a powerful tool and a great source of information in lots of different areas. Here’s the Blog Talk Radio homepage – where you can sign up for a free account, create a radio show, and search for particular shows, subject areas, or experts that interest you. I recommend that you take some time to explore Blog Talk Radio! I am certainly looking forward to working more with this great online resource!
Before I close our Cyber Monday post, I also wanted to share some very simple and useful online tools that I came upon when reading Chris Knight’s EZine Articles Blog. The article is about Online Helper Sites and it offers three sites that can give you some basic information about your computer:
- The Bandwidth Checker will do a quick check of your computer’s uploading/downloading speed. It’s an easy way to take a look at your internet connection speed (and compare it to other, common speeds).
- IPDoYou and IPChillin will tell you your computer’s IP address, as well as your host and browser information.
- What is My Screen Resolution is another tool that gives you some basic information about your computer settings – this time your screen resolution.
These tools are simple, straightforward, fast, and free! The Bandwidth Checker, especially, is interesting and may help identify issues that are slowing you down in your online activities. Do you know of other quick online tools offering information that you find useful? Leave a comment – I’d love to hear about your resources and ideas!
