Stand in Your Power

I had a painful reminder this past week of what happens when we don’t stand in our power, and instead give it away to someone else. It all started when I thought someone else knew better than I did what was right for me and my business.

The feeling of being disconnected to Source was highly uncomfortable. But instead of trusting that feeling of discomfort MEANT something important, I discounted it, telling myself, “Oh, I’m feeling that way because I’m just tired.”

Truth is, as entrepreneurs, we ALWAYS know what’s best for our business. We may not know how to accomplish it (that’s where training programs and mentors can help us) but our instincts for what basic direction we need to head in is always accurate.

Luckily, for me, I have great mentors, who helped me reconnect with Source and step back into my power, which instantly made me feel my familiar and authentic sense of confidence, grace and ease.

So why am I sharing something so vulnerable about myself with you? Firstly, so you’ll know that even though I run a very successful business, I too, am always learning and growing, and am certainly not perfect. Secondly, I’m willing to humbly share my own journey with you, with the hope that you’ll both hold yourself to a high standard of authentic power and self-awareness, AND, go easy on yourself when you have a momentarily lapse and give your power away to someone else.

I believe episodes like this aren’t a fall from Grace. They are a reminder that a state of Grace doesn’t come from perfection. Grace is simply our ability to be clearly connected to our truth, no matter what.
