“Ability is what you’re capable of doing.  Motivation determines what you can do.
Attitude determines how well you do it.”
~Lou Holtz

By now you have no doubt had your ups and downs with running your business (marketing, sales, production).   Like running a 26-mile marathon you have had adrenaline pumping days and days when you’ve hit the proverbial wall.  If you’re like most of us you’ve been both very excited by your results and extremely frustrated with yourself for having fallen behind.  What causes these things to happen and what part does attitude play?

As business owners, the more personal work we do the better we become.  What have you done to live your life with a fabulous, out-right shining attitude?

Today I encourage you to look at what you’ve achieved so far and see if there are ways you could have done them with an even better attitude?

Choose three tasks/projects/events that for you were the real foot dragging, eye rolling experiences for you, whether you completed them or not.  Then analyze why they were so difficult to do (or not do at all).

Write them out and explore your negative experiences and fears surrounding them.  Then imagine what they would be like if they brought you energy, excitement, joy AND clients.  How might you approach them if your attitude were better?

Then choose three that you were able to complete with ease, grace and joy.

What differences do you see between the first group of three and the second group?  What can you learn about yourself, your strengths and your limitations by reviewing these assignments?
Today is a day to self-coach.  What would you say to your client if they were in your shoes?

“Motivation is an external, temporary high that pushes you forward.
Inspiration is a sustainable internal glow which pulls you forward.”
