Finding time to catch hold of your inspired ideas is a key to your creativity, your productivity, and to living your most enriched and enriching life!
So what happens to your best ideas now? Can you call them back at the end of a busy day? Do they get lost?
You see, we are all filled with creative, innovative ideas. Often they come to us at odd times and, if we aren’t paying attention, they evaporate. I believe that a major key to living our most energized and creative lives isn’t having the inspiration so much as developing skills to capture and implement the inspired ideas that come to us.
What kinds of ideas am I talking about? They might have to do with artistic endeavors … or they might be creative solutions to problems. An article or book you are reading might provide a spark … or a conversation with a friend might send you down a path filled with new inspirations.
4 Simple Steps to Get Your Business on Twitter
According to the 2010 Social Media Marketing Industry Report, Twitter is one of the social media tools most businesses want to learn more about.
Creating a Twitter profile is quick and easy to do; however, you want to make sure you take the right steps when setting up your Twitter accounts.
#1: Set Up Your Twitter Account
You should always try to secure Twitter accounts for your real name and your company name to ensure no-one else grabs them.
#2: Choose Your Twitter Name
Are you still wondering which Twitter name to choose? Look for a name easy to relate to who you are and what you represent.
#3: Upload Your Picture
It’s important to change the default picture to show others you are a real person and not a spambot and you can get a little creative to show your personality.
#4: Write an Interesting Twitter Bio
It’s important to tell your Twitter followers who you are and what you’ll be tweeting about. Unfortunately you only have 160 characters to do this in your Twitter bio. The right keywords will help the right people find you.
Stop Using Old School Marketing Tactics
When you opened the doors to your business were you hoping the field of dreams concept was true, build it and they will come? Just hanging out a shingle, however, does not mean you will quickly have a full schedule with new clients. Unless you already have a strong following, you will need to figure out a way to drive clients to your business.
What will get your practice to grow is having a marketing plan which strategically connects you with more people in a consistent manner. Marketing, however, is not the reason most people have a business. The dream is to offer a service, or product, which will help your clients. Successful entrepreneurs realize the importance of being a marketer first so you can practice your profession.
Marketing creates a bad taste in most people’s mouths. What is the first thought which comes to mind for you when you think about marketing?

Speeding Up
Can you believe it’s SEPTEMBER? Really, FALL is upon us? How can that be? Where did 2010 go?
For years I’ve been saying and agreeing with others that time is really speeding up. My assumption was that this is just what happens as you get older. However, what I’ve come to know is that the vibrational frequencies of our planet are becoming more and more refined…and so are we!
There is a pattern evolving here. The old ways of doing business and even living our lives is shifting and changing. We are wanting to find our way back to who we really are! We are slowly but surelyremembering who we are!
And as we do, as our vibrational frequencies rise, we have easier access to who we really are – merging and blending with our Higher Selves in a way that hasn’t been available before now; communicating more clearly with our Higher Selves and high-level guides who are here to enjoy, along with us, the deliciousness of this amazing unfolding we are creating for ourselves!
Turn PLR Content Into Cash
You can save time and money if you use PLR (private label rights) content to create products and market your business. To that end, here are 7 surefire ways to turn your PLR content into cash…
1. Rewrite it.
No matter what you’re using the content for, change it so that you don’t have competition. At a minimum, change the title, introduction and conclusion of your articles and reports. You may also delete irrelevant content and add in your own examples and tips.
2. Put it in a different format.
Most people who use PLR text content leave it in the form of text. You can virtually guarantee that you’ll have a unique product if you put it in a different format, such as converting text to an audio book or even a video.
Telesummits are Hot! (or Not?)
There’s no doubt…telesummits are all the rage these days. From the perspective of those looking to learn, they are a great way to get a lot of information on a range of topics, or in-depth on a particular topic, from a variety of Experts over a set period of time. From the perspective of those who want to teach and reach those learners, they are a great way to leverage your time and your marketing efforts with others to reach a wider audience.
So, they’re great. Or are they? What has your experience been? As a learner, do you get a lot of value out of telesummits? What makes a great telesummit? Or what makes a telesummit a waste of your time? Likewise, as a telesummit speaker, what works for you? Are they a good investment of your time? What are the pitfalls?
I look forward to everyone’s comments!
No More Excuses
When a client tells me it’s hard to sit down and plan three years out, I know where they are coming from. They are running so fast to keep up with themselves; it is easy to just focus on the fires you want to put out today. Taking time from those demanding crises to put first things first is hard. And, the immediate rewards and satisfaction of resolving the crises are seductive, after all, that’s what a good manager knows how to do.
But you’re not (only) the manager. You’re the leader, the entrepreneur, the director and visionary for the organization. Set the standard by working on your business not just in it. You can’t expect the business to mature and grow without some thoughtful planning and introspection.
Begin with the end in mind (Stephen Covey)
If you create a vision of where you want to be in three years, you will eliminate many of the crises ever occurring because no matter how tempting they appear, they create detours from your vision. Start with a clear understanding of your destination. Know where you are going so that you better understand where you are now, so the steps you take are always in the right direction.
How Often do you Backup your Website or Blog?
Really…how often do you back up your site? I mean, back up the ENTIRE site?
Most people do it rarely, if at all. My guess is they are relying on their hosting company to have up to date, reliable backups. Well…..
You can’t always count on that since, well, things do happen. So it’s always good to have another backup plan in place.
You might even be surprised how many people who have lost their sites (or hard drives) still don’t back up. I’m not saying this so you’ll feel comfortable because you have plenty of company.
I’m saying it to drive home the point that human nature being what it is, if we’re left to our own devices, we don’t always do what we know is in our best interest.
Are You Making A Great First Impression On YOURSELF?
Working with women stepping into the spotlight means that I talk to my clients a lot about first impressions. We talk about how they would like to be perceived. Some of the responses I hear most often are professional, polished, approachable, as an expert … and the list goes on. Rarely do I hear someone say I want to be perceived as the woman who looked really good! But it really goes hand in hand. Remember the old saying “if you look good then you feel good, and if you feel good you do good”? It’s true. Think about the last time you worked from home and didn’t bother to get showered and dressed as you would if you were going to an office. How productive were you? Did you accomplish everything on your to do list? Did you feel more tired all day? Your wardrobe affects you more than you might like to admit. I’m not saying you need to be dressed to the nines every day, but you should want to be the best you can be.
Here is a quotation from Lisa Earle McLeod’s column that she wrote recently titled Can Cool Clothes Make You Successful? “As a professional speaker, I know that first impressions are important, so I’ve always paid some level of attention to my wardrobe. However, as my life got busier (and my body got lumpier), looking decent had become yet another item on my seemingly endless to-do list. Good suit, check; brush teeth, check; back-up batteries, check.
