Thanks to Jennifer Abernethy of The Sales Lounge Jennifer for being such a fun and informative guest on the free RLM Studio teleseminar this month! I’ve been fielding emails of “thanks” for days since the live call!
Here are a just a few take-aways from our fun informal chat:
- Don’t add your URL to someone’s Facebook wall when you “friend” each other. Too much of that and Facebook may shut you down!
- Key to social media marketing success is to participate. Be active. Call someone – interact.
- Do at least one status update a day – make it interesting.
- Don’t sell non-stop. That is not really “participation.”
- Balance your tips/information/resources/promotions. Don’t do too much of any one of those things.
- Keep in mind – everything you say will be seen by the general public. Only put things out there that want tied to your name … forever.
- Check your mindset – know why you’re on a particular social media outlet. Then focus on that reason.
- Be yourself.
