Love Your Business and Your Life

Sometimes we get caught up in the hectic nature of everyday life and life may cease to be enjoyable.
But it’s a viscous cycle: when we are dissatisfied with our lives, we try to avoid thinking about the life we’re unhappy with, which ultimately adds more stress and more dissatisfaction.
Learning to love your life is a key element in getting control and breaking this pattern.
And to do that, you must start focusing on YOU first, then your business.
Commit time for yourself first.
Get out your schedule or planner and add sometime to rest and relax, doing what you like doing. For some, it could be exercise. For others, it may be reflective time or reading. Choose what makes you happy AND relaxed. Then honor your commitment to do it.
Stop justifying all the ‘should dos’ on your list.
The fact of the matter is, your ‘should do’ list such as:
- I should be using social media more.
- I should be writing more.
- I should be always eating right.
is just unrealistic. And you’re too hard on yourself. Decide what are the must-dos and only focus on them. Get rid of the ‘should-dos’.
Focus on your accomplishments, not on what you couldn’t get done.
Each day celebrate your wins – even if you feel they are small. Studies show focusing on the successes, instead of what could have been can really help boost your mood and actually help you get more done in the long run.
