Finding time to be as productive as possible means knowing where to look for information.  There’s so much info out there, it can be daunting to weed through it all.

So today I’d like to share 5 of our favorite sites, here at The Time Finder.  This is where we go to scan the tech and productivity landscape.

43 Folders is a website chock full of useful information that is geared to getting you whatever you need and getting you back to your own creative work as quickly and efficiently as possible.  As they say on the site:

No Tourists, Please
We hope very much that you find things here that will help you do and make the things that matter to you, but 43 Folders is no replacement for actual work. Please do not use 43 Folders as an excuse to procrastinate. That would be so ironically unwholesome as to stagger the mind.

Don’t let us catch you dicking around here all day, okay? Okay, then.

Lifehacker is probably well-known to many of you.  It’s a very active and informative site that includes “tips, tricks, and downloads for getting things done.”  It’s forums offer a place for readers to participate, and what results is a wealth of ever-changing, reader-generated information.

Forums

Lifehacker Open Forums are unique pages built up by you, the readers. Approved commenters can invent a #hashtag and host their own threads.

Commenters can make their own spaces outside of moderated posts for discussions, investigations, live-blogs, and spirited debate. This is where you can stray off-topic and hold court with friends and foes.

Dumb Little Man is another worthy site to check out.  It offers what it calls “tips for life.”  Often thought-provoking, Dumb Little Man serves up a menu of weekly tips in the following categories:

Business, Career, DIY and How To, Earning or Saving Money, Featured Sites, Food and Cooking, Freelancing, Health and Fitness, Lifehacks, Most Popular DLM Posts, Motivation, Personal Development, Productivity, Technology, Workplace, and Writing and Blogging

Stepcase Lifehack is another site that provides readers with an ever-evolving array of ‘lifehacks’ – or ways to live more fully and productively.  Frequently updated, Lifehack offers tips and insights ranging from dealing with procrastination to finding the best app to complete or track a task.
Mashable is another one of our ‘go-to’ sites for tech tips, tricks and innovations.  It’s also an excellent source for keeping up with the latest in social media.
