What do Donald Trump, Oprah, Richard Branson and I have in common? Well I may not quite be at the billionaire level yet but what we do all have in common is we are all entrepreneurs who get things done in record time.

Jeanette was a typical go-getter who wanted it all. Mother to three children, owner of a thriving consulting firm to Fortune 500 companies, chairman of her industry association and wife to a successful doctor. Jeanette had goals, dreams and visions of a billion dollar company but there was just one problem.
Jeanette was chronically exhausted and couldn’t grow her business to the next level.
Her days started around 5:30 am and ended around midnight. Between client meetings, homework and school activities for the kids, and fitting in time to balance her check book, Jeanette barely had time to shower and brush her teeth, let alone eat a balanced meal or exercise. She was desperately trying to balance all of her priorities but always ended up feeling torn, depressed and like a failure. Inevitably, some area of her life was crashing and burning.

For a few months now I’ve been musing over what’s happened at my chiropractor’s office. He has finally lost me as a client and I thought I’d capture the “lesson learned” so we all know exactly what to do if you want to chase clients away.
I should first say that I was an absolute raving fan. This guy is very personable, had completely reasonable prices and I believed his values were truly aligned with making a difference. He also had a great office staff that kept him on time and organized.
Within a two month period I probably referred him to over 20 people. So what went wrong?

As entrepreneurs and business owners, we make a serious of choices every day that can make or break our success. As a business coach for many years now, I’ve learned that it’s often not even the big things that have the greatest impact…
It’s the small, almost unconscious decisions we make that can influence the shape our life takes.
The other day one of the Success Connections team coaches, Therese Skelly, said, “I was just talking to one of the Gold Plus members about how you take time off for self-care.”

Last week, I had one of my usual Mondays. I got up, ate breakfast, meditated, went to work out, went to an appointment, had a nice long lunch with my honey out by the lake, ran a couple of errands, came home, took the dog for a long walk in the hills, read another chapter of

Ok, I admit that once in a while I fall prey to the overwhelm beast.
Last week was definitely one of those weeks where I was pulling my hair out and wondering if I was ever going to feel sane again. But being as I teach this stuff, I have a little bit of a leg-up on what to do.
My strategy to beat overwhelm might not necessarily be the what you think though. As we say in my Platinum Elite Mastermind program, sometimes you have to “Put on the big girl panties and make a grown up decision.”

Have you ever noticed how hard it is to fill a bucket that is full of holes? Imagine for a moment how silly it would be to try and keep the bucket full of water when the water just keeps pouring out the bottom.
Well that is what most of us do when we try to leap forward in our growth with a diminished Power Factor.
Your Power Factor is a combination of your energy, your bandwidth and your support systems. As entrepreneur’s, our greatest asset is our creativity and ambition. But if our Power Factor is being compromised, then your bottom line can take the hit.
