
Have you noticed that while many people user their names for Twitter (a great idea in my opinion), some use much longer usernames, such as their first name and the name of their business.
For example, SandyAtMyBusinessName
What’s wrong with this?
While having your name and your business name is a great idea for remind people who you are, with Twitter, it’s too much.

I’m a culprit-I used to think that way…I’ve recently analyzed my ROI, and decided not to renew - memberships can be pricey! Joining LinkedIn or Ryze or MYSpace is FR*EE. Blogging is Fr*ee and is also fun - I love to write!
The point is - I’m now concentrating on getting more out of my LinkedIn, adding a MySpace page & putting my expertise on Internet marketing & Career Transition “out there.”.

For about 1 month, Terri Z. of Solo-E.com, had been ‘twittering’ with Twitter. She had some interesting observations and results that she decided to share with our panel of Solo-E Experts.  If you are toying with the idea of Twitter, but are not sure if the efforts vs. results are worth it, check out this mock case study. Terri writes:

After a couple of months of spending more time in FaceBook deleting junk messages (invites to classes and groups and time-wasting applications that let me send ice cream to friends) than building relationships , I think I’ve finally figured out one way to make it more fun and less work.
