Terri Zwierzynski, MBA (UNC-Chapel Hill) became a corporate
refugee in 2001, after 15 years of employment with large and small technology
companies including GE, AT&T Bell Labs, and Nortel. After her initial shock
at being unemployed, she vowed to “never work for an idiot again!”
A non-conformist at heart, Terri Z is now
The Solo-CEO: a self-employed internet marketing consultant to solo entrepreneurs and a grassroots promoter of the "solo entrepreneur lifestyle". She runs www.Solo-E.com, the resource website for solo entrepreneurs
which attracts thousands of visitors monthly from over 100 countries on
six continents (and was named a finalist for “Website of the Year” in
the 4th Annual Stevie® Awards for Women in Business). Terri is also the
co-author of 136 Ways To Market Your Small or Solo Business.
Terri’s passion for solo entrepreneurship stems from her
conviction that everyone has unique talents to contribute to the world, and
should be able to do that while maintaining their personal integrity and their
lifestyle. As a wife, mother of two children, and owner of two dogs, she
cherishes her ability to decide when to work, when to walk the dogs and when to
chaperone a field trip. As a business owner, she relishes the freedom of doing
work she enjoys for clients she likes and respects.

08/23/2009 The Secret to What to Say on Twitter
What to write in Twitter? Lots of new tweeps and even veterans ask this question. Should I tell people I had chicken salad for lunch? Should I only write about business? etc.
The answer to that depends on how you want to use Twitter. If you prefer to connect with people only professionally, then only tweet [...]

03/19/2009 Should you lower your prices?
Today I read an article about a local man whose business recently went bankrupt, in good part because he gave a lot of breaks to folks who were in economic trouble. It reminded me of a lesson I learned 19 years ago as an engineering manager — an important piece of business wisdom.
We outsourced some [...]

When I started my business in 2001, it was a given that I would need a website. Just as I’d need business cards, a telephone, and a computer, I’d also need a presence on the web to truly be in business.
Times have changed — yes, your business still needs to be on the web, but [...]

"I think Solo-E and all you offer is quite remarkable and a huge benefit to
all entrepreneurs. Becoming a member is one of the best things I’ve done
in the past year. Within 2 weeks of joining my database increased quite
dramatically. It’s a pleasure working with Terri and Amy. Thank you."

"PlatinumPlus -- what a deal! People who know me are well aware of my
thrifty persona. I like a deal! I also like help, particularly where
details are concerned. And I like to promote value when I experience it!
Well, Terri and her trusty Solo-E team have created an opportunity I
couldn't pass up...Platinum Plus. This program has really motivated me. Now
that I know the efforts that I put into a final edit on an article or an
eProduct can be handed off to someone else, I’ve got an interest in
making more available. Items I mentioned in passing miraculously appear
on the Solo-E site! Normally, I have to look for, interview, hire and do
some training to have a VA be able to support me. Not with Platinum Plus.
Kimberly knows it all, and is FAST!
When I looked at the cost for this service I wasn’t sure that I had
understood the offer; it really did seem too good to be true. So, I wrote
and verified that I wasn’t misunderstanding the offer. Of course, as
always, they were very clear in their communications with us. Everything
they offered has been delivered and then some!
So, if you’ve been thinking about increasing your internet exposure,
building your email list and positioning yourself as an expert now is an
excellent time."

Hi Terry,
Would adding a DIY publicity expert to your collection of fabulous experts
add value to your efforts?
I'd be honored to contribute. My latest column about how to make the most
of Help a Reporter Out leads is a good demonstration of my writing ability.
This story in Friday's issue of the Puget Sound Business Journal was the
7th most emailed story when last I checked.
Thanks for your consideration and for following me on Twitter. I've read
your "25 Sure Ways" and "Four Secrets to Solo E Success" reports, and they
are top notch.
