Add a greeting to your voice mail, that will market your business.

"Hi, this is Alicia Smith, the DISC Ninja.  Please leave your name, phone number, date, and the location you are calling from.  I will return your call within 24 hours.  I invite you to visit me on my website at www.DISCNinja.com or e-mail me at info@aliciasmith.com.  Thank-you so much for calling, and have a fantastic day!"

Here's an example used by Jerry of Ben and Jerry's.

"Hi, this is Jerry. How ya doing? Hey, thanks for calling. Uh. I'll be in on Tuesday, starting at about 10 or so, hanging out for the day. I won't be in on Wednesday. I'll be in Thursday some of the time. And I won't be in on Friday. And then Saturday and Sunday I will be at the Ben and Jerry's One World, One Heart Festival, at Sugarbush , Vermont . . . . Free! Incredible. Five-dollar parking charge. Carpool. Bring all your friends. Come say hi. I'll be there. I can't wait. If you need to speak to a person, . . . hit zero. Otherwise, you can leave me a message. Hope everything's good. See you. Bye."

Remember when you record your message be sure to make your voice "speak" to your target audience.  Pay attention to if your target market is formal or informal.  Imagine an ideal client and speak to them as you make your recording.

Here are two examples from my Pilates instructor, a student of the 90 Day Marketing Marathon , Jennifer Wiles of www.fitflowpilates.com.

"Thank you for calling the Fit Flow Pilates Studio. We would love to chat with you so please leave a message and your call will be returned as soon as possible.  Today's tip will help you avoid slumping while driving. Adjust your rear view mirror up one inch. Each time you glance in the mirror you will automatically sit taller.   For more info visit www.fitflowpialtes.com.  Thanks and make yours a great day. "

"Thanks for Calling the Fit Flow Pilates studio.  Your call is important so leave a message and we will return your call as soon as possible.  Today's tip will help you walk better. When taking a stroll focus on placing your weight at your second toe, the one next to your big toe. You will distribute weight more evenly and keep your feet healthy and strong. For more info on Pilates visit www.fitflowpilates.com. Thanks and remember to breathe. "

If you have fun with this people will want to call you!
