An entire Business Package will consist of the following pieces:
1.
Pricing packages
2.
Letter of introduction or welcome letter
3. Agreement or Contract
This article will focus on your letter of agreement which basically spells out the terms of your agreement with the client. This letter should be short and should state the following:
Time Frame
Cost
Payment Policy
Cancellation Policy
A Personal Statement from you welcoming the client to your business and explaining a small bit of information about how you operate in the business
Statement of Confidentiality (if applicable)
A place for the client to sign and return the form to you by fax or snail mail
The Letter of Invitation extends an offer to your new clients to not only purchase from you but to get involved in the research/development phase or your customer service plan of action.
The letter below is an example of a coaching agreement. You can use it to see the types of elements you may want to include in your letter. We recommend that you rewrite the letter in your own voice and with your ideal client in mind so that it resonates with both you and the client.

Dear Marianne,
Welcome to Coaching!
Your decision to work with a coach is the first step in the direction of greatly enhancing your personal and professional life. By agreeing to work with me as your coach, you will be entering a collaborative partnership, which will support you with a great combination of coaching, consulting, and brainstorming. During this time together, as your coach, I will also be challenging you to think, stretch, and grow.
One of the best qualities that I bring to coaching is an “elegant edge.” I will use this edge when I feel that you will benefit from a gentle nudge or to be challenged to move in the direction of more action. If I say or do anything that does not feel right for you, or if I cross a boundary with you that feels is hurtful, please let me know. I want you to feel completely comfortable to communicate with me in an open and honest fashion.
Please know that everything we discuss during our time together is completely confidential. If you choose to discuss your work with me with others, this is completely up to you. If you are entering into a group-coaching format, I will be asking you to keep all information strictly confidential as well.
The terms of our work together are listed below. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call or shoot me an e-mail.
I look forward to working with you! Cheers!
Warmly,
Your Signature

You can also refer to Alicia’s package at
www.discninja.com/coachingpackage.pdf. She has the same elements expressed a bit differently here.
The key is to create YOUR package that reflects you and how you want to do business. These documents are very important since they set the tone for doing business with your client. They create the boundaries that you desire and give you something to fall back on in the event you and the client run into trouble.
Take the time to write out something. Know that it will very likely change and evolve over time. But, if you are going to be successful in business, you must be business like. Having a well thought out Business Package will help you put your best foot forward and retain clients who will gain great value working with you.
