Maximizing the Use of Assessments in Your Business

Have you considered adding assessments to your business mix but aren't sure where to start?  In today's issue I'd like to update you on the technology that's available for online assessment delivery.

In the "good old days" all assessments were paper based.  You had to hand deliver or snail mail the assessment to your client.  This took additional time and postage.

In today’s global world, the ease and accessibility of Internet based assessments has changed the way we do business.  With internet accessibility you can now deliver assessments to your clients 24/7365.

It is possible to use assessments with your clients while building your own brand.  Imagine your clients receiving an email from you with an access code allowing them to complete their own assessment.  With the click of a link they are taken to an internet browser window branded with your logo, tag line and contact information.

When your client completes the assessment they have the opportunity to save, print or email a copy of it.  Every copy of their assessment has your logo and contact information on the front page.

One nice thing about assessments is that they have a long "shelf-life."  People tend to hang on to them and they often share their results with others.  All the while, your name and contact information is available, paving the way to future business.  I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve gotten a call “out of the blue” only to discover that they took the profile years ago and now want to use them for their team.

All of this is possible today and is amazingly cost effective.  For a one time set up fee of $140 you can have your own Virtual Warehouse that allows you access to 8 primary assessments and a slew of optional and group reports.

You then purchase "credits" which can be used to generate any of the individual, group or optional reports you desire.  For more information, and to see all assessments and reports available visit www.InternetAssessments.com/discount.htm.  This is a private page that has been set up for you as a Solo-E subscriber and one of my preferred customers.

There are many opportunities to include assessments when working with clients.  Here are a few to get you thinking...

1.      As a part of an intake process.

2.      When greater self-awareness would benefit the person or group you are
         working with.

3.      When someone is seeking assistance with self-development, goal setting,
         career planning.

4.      When someone is having difficulty adapting to his or her job.

5.      When there are interpersonal problems or conflicts that are not being
         resolved.

6.      When teamwork needs to be enhanced.

7.      When someone wants to increase his or her self-coaching skills.

8.      In group or individual coaching.

9.      When the client or company is unsure what they want to focus on.

10.  When the client or company is not sure why things are not working, but
         cannot identify where to begin.

11.  As a training tool in a seminar or workshop.

12.  As an “add on” to a program that you are developing or delivering.

Learning to use assessments isn't as hard as most people think.  Many of today's assessments are self-explanatory.  They provide your client not only with their results, but feedback as well, to help them understand those results and begin making positive changes.

Additionally there are many support tools available in the form of PowerPoint Presentations (some with embedded video) and fully scripted Facilitator Kits for those who want to do training around these assessments.  There are “turn-key” programs that you can sell to your clients if they prefer to do “in house” training.

Of course, your added support in the form of coaching, training or consulting simply adds value to the mix.

Test the Waters
If it's time for you to add assessments to your business mix then consider getting your own EPIC Virtual Warehouse.  For a one time $140 set up fee you will be able to build your "brand" by including your logo together with tag line and contact info on all reports generated through your EPIC account.  This is the perfect way to "test the waters" and enter the world of assessments.

Administrative control is in your hands: you control when respondents receive their access codes, you decide who may view each report and when, you can easily send reminders and access codes to people who have not yet responded.

You then purchase the number of credits you need per assessment as you need them.  As a preferred customer you will receive a discount on the purchase of every credit, allowing you to sell these assessments to your clients at a profit.
