The goal of marketing coaching is to have hundreds of people engage with you in a collaborative interview...so that they can begin to envision their dreams and you can show them how hiring you is the way to get there!

The more people you talk with the greater your chances of converting a prospect to a paying client. Marketing is different than sales. In this list we share 10 proven ways that you can begin to market your free collaborative interviews in an effort to set up more appointments to be able to speak to more prospects.

Learn the Top Ten Ways to Increase the Number of Collaborative Interviews You Conduct

 1. Put an offer in your signature line.

Use your signature line as a way to invite others to engage with you in a 30-minute call. Make the invitation exciting. Example: "Reach Your Goals With Lightning Speed by Hiring a Coach. Call Today for a Collaborative Interview."

2. Write an article and offer it in your by-line.

Your by-line is a wonderful opportunity to get folks to call you for a collaborative interview. Include your e-mail address and telephone number, and invite the reader gently by saying "I invite you to contact me today for your no obligation, collaborative coaching session."

3. Teach a free teleclass and offer it to people on the call.

Ending your teleclasses with an offer for a collaborative interivew is a smart technique for getting the phone to ring with hot prospects. If you are leading a call on a Tuesday, set aside the next day on Wednesday from 9-12 for the purpose of the free call. At the end of the call, extend the invitation by saying "I want to invite you to join me tomorrow morning from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. for a collaborative interview. There is no obligation for you to call, and it is a wonderful way for those of you who are interested in coaching to see how we can best work together in a coaching relationship."

4. Provide public speaking.

Public speaking is a dynamic opportunity for others to see you live and "in action." At the close of your presentation, invite those in the audience to schedule a time with you for a collaborative interview. With sign-up sheet in hand, position yourself at the exit of the building, and be ready for folks to ask. It works!

5. Set a particular day and time aside every week to conduct your collaborative interviews.

Your collaborative interview is AS IMPORTANT as a coaching session. This time is the lifeblood of your business, and it should be treated with an amazing amount of professionalism. Set aside a particular day and time which is strictly devoted to these interviews, and ask those scheduling to notify you 24 hours in advance of a cancellation.

6. Seek support from your family, friends, colleagues, and community.

Tell others about your goal...that you want to hold 10 collaborative interviews in 2 weeks, and ask others to send referrals your way! People love and want to help, and they will support you with a request made which is genuine and kind.

7. Network!

At Networking Events, arrive early and work the room as people come in. Set a goal to talk to at least 50% of the people at the event. Walk away with their business cards and an agreement from at least twenty percent of the people whose business cards you collected to come into a collaborative interview. As an example, if there are fifty people in the room you should talk with 25 and walk away with their business cards and from that you should have 5 complimentary interviews. Ask for a friend to support you during the event, and have fun reaching your goal!

8. Use Your Website!

Add a sign up form or audio welcome to your web site, which allows your visitors to request an appointment for a collaborative interview. (If using an audio welcome, you may also add this to your signature line, which is extremely effective. The power of the voice is intimate and welcoming.)

9. Create a "Coachability Quiz."

Create a "Coachability Quiz," post it on your website and invite visitors to take the quiz. Once the results are tallied, extend an invitation to the visitor to join you for a collaborative interview.

10. Use Postcards!

This one idea was shared by Laura Hess, an instructor with Coach University. Take a beautiful postcard, and on the front, print the words: "Life is a Gift. Wouldn't you like to know how to open it?" On the back of the card, print the words "A coach has the tools you need. This card entitles you to one complimentary coaching session." Add your contact information to the bottom of the card, and send the card to at least 200 men and women in your community.
