Creating a recorded information product is a great way to instantly boost your credibility, plus help you create passive revenue (everyone's dream!).
The process can seem daunting unless you know a few simple tips to help you get your audio info product started...and completed!
Here are 7 quick and simple tips that will help you create a recorded information product you can sell online and offline (these tips are excerpted from my latest book, published by Entrepreneur Magazine. The book is titled, "
Entrepreneur Magazine's Start Your Own Information Marketing Business"):
Tip #1: You can “bundle” an information product with other services to generate more leads and clients. For an example of this strategy, click here to see how I bundled products with my
Success Circle Coaching Club.
Tip #2: People will buy the same information in multiple formats so you can offer the information on audio, in printed reports and workbooks and in a video.
Tip #3: Aim for completion, not perfection! It’s better to have a less-than perfect product to sell than no product at all.
Tip #4: One audio CD can hold up to 80 minutes of recording. One hour of “raw” unedited audio recording will take approximately three hours of time to edit. I HIGHLY recommend hiring a professional, like Stewart Mclellan of
www.smpaudio.com (Stewart gives superior service and ultra-quick turn-around times at a great price. Mention my name when you contact him.)
Tip #5: You can add professional music to your audio beginning and ending for just a few dollars by purchasing royalty-free music at
www.musicbakerycom
Tip #6: Do not print hundreds of copies of your information product workbook or audio CDs just to save a few dollars per copy. Best to print just a few at a time so that you’re not stuck with excess inventory sitting in your garage. The amount of profit you make per copy will more than make up for the difference you’ll pay in printing smaller quantities.
Tip #7: Do NOT try to make your information product look like a “real” book. That will lower the amount you can charge. Why? Because "real" books only sell for a few dollars, whereas you want your info product to sell for a lot more!
