Working less and making more may seem like a pipe dream to some, but for me and the people I inspire, it's become a reality. The joy of it is not so much in an increased bank account (although that certainly is a nice benefit!) but in the satisfaction of making a greater impact on the lives of other people.

There are lots of ways to get started. Today's tip is tiny but mighty:

Create a program.

If that sounds too short, then I'll lengthen it to, create a program or a package.

Why create a program or a package? Because people like to buy them. They are relatively easy to create (if you follow a few simple, straightforward steps). And you make more while working less.

Every service business has the opportunity to create a program or package. For example: a c'ash flow consultant can partner with a business broker and create a special seminar series geared towards educating business owners on how to smartly sell their business.

A corporate coach can create a team building program that combines customized training, coaching, and retreats. A web designer can package their service to include features most other designers charge for a la carte.

Even my mom jumped on the package band wagon! She now bundles her day-long retreat with a follow up coaching call and charges 30% more than she used to for the retreat alone. That is a huge increase for simply spending an additional hour on the telephone a week after the retreat.

What is the first step? Like always, it's to decide and take action. If you're tired of pouring your heart into 1-on-1 services that leave you frazzled and unfulfilled, decide to create a program or package. Don't worry about the "how to" for now, but do start noticing other programs or packages you see that appeal to you. Start a list of how they are organized and delivered.
