Every year I create a "theme" for my success coaching business. I call it my
"dream theme." Your dream theme keeps you on track, keeps you from getting distracted, and fuels your dream, propelling you effortlessly forward.
Last year my dream theme was "alignment." Every decision I made was measured against whether it was really, truly, 100% in alignment with my Unique Brilliance brand. If it wasn't, then I stopped, made the necessary adjustments, or made a different decision.
The results weren't just good, they were pretty spectacular! I'm making lots more money as a success coach and working even less, plus I’m enjoying a really peaceful lifestyle.
My theme of alignment made it obvious I needed to: hire more virtual assistants (I now have three,) fire my grouchy bookkeeper and replace her with someone who is cheerful and loves working for us, and launch the Success Circle Coaching Club so I could make a very real, positive difference in the lives of seventy-five eager and ambitious successful entrepreneurs.
This year my dream theme is "spiritual and financial well-being." Time will tell how it plays out in my success coaching business but it's already weaving itself into the new business coaching programs, articles, and products that I'm creating.
What I love about this particular theme is that it's motivating me to launch new small business marketing programs and business coaching products that combine Money and Meaning.
Over the next few months, you'll see me launch new success coaching programs and small business marketing products all focused on helping you achieve results. Which means that when I have an "A-ha" moment I know immediately whether it's an idea I'll spend even another minute on...or not.
It's common to feel a certain attachment to each and every idea and dream you create. Instead, I invite you to say "thank you" to spirit for the idea, then decide if the dream is worth putting any more energy into.
If it is, great. If not, then no problem. The "thank you" you said to spirit will keep your creative channels open to receive even more—and better— small business marketing ideas that are perfect for you to pursue!
So what is YOUR dream theme? What word or phrase embraces the spirit you want to immerse yourself in next year? Remember, "first thought, best thought!" so don't second-guess yourself. Once you decide what your dream theme is, make sure you tell a few people! By making it public, you'll be that much more accountable.
