May I share a story with you about how I have become
so successful so quickly, and how you can too? Good! This story comes
straight from the horse's mouth...literally!
Two of my horses are Andalusians, a breed known
for their uncommon sensitivity, spirit and willingness. I read one
time that you ride an Andalusian not with obvious body movements but
"with your imagination."
For example, with my young horse, Rio,when I first
get on and want him to stand still I imagine him rooted to the ground.
If I don't, and instead am already thinking "walk" then
his feet begin to move even though that wasn't what I "thought"
I wanted him to do. I've experimented with this over and over again,
always with the same results. I've learned (because HE has taught
me) to train him with my mind more than my body.
You see, what's at work here is the power
of intention. Now, I'm not talking about the fluffy "I
intend to make a lot of money one day" wishful thinking that
a lot of people indulge in. Thoughts like that are not anchored in
anything heartfelt or realistic so it's no surprise that they rarely
pan out.
Intention is a powerful tool for getting clear,
focused and creating what you want in your life or business. I use
it to fill workshops, get ideas for new programs, create winning outcomes
with my Private Platinum clients, creating business-building brands
for my clients, and more.
But you have to know how to make the power of intention
work FOR you so you DO get what you want.
What gives your
intention power and life force is the combination of these four crucial
components:
Your Mind: How clear ARE you about what you want?
Do you have a sharp, clear image (or thought) of exactly what you
want? For example: when I created my Brand Authenticity Master Mind
program I had a crystal clear intention to fill all 50 memberships
by a particular date (which I did).
Your Heart: Why is this important to you?
What is the over-arching reason this intention is SOOOO important
to you? Here's a hint: reasons that are moving towards something you
want (instead of away from something you want to avoid) are typically
more powerful.
Your Beliefs: Who do you need to be to have this
come into your life?
Think of your beliefs regarding how you see yourself as being like
underwater sonar. Your thoughts are "pinging" along the
water's surface. Likewise, how you view yourself is pinging way down
deep, below the surface. The ping of your beliefs MUST match up with
the ping of your thoughts in order for you to get what you want. That's
way all the affirmations in the world won't do a lick of good if your
beliefs aren't "pinging" along with them.
Your Body: Can you feel a strong, physical connection
to your intention?
Strong intentions that materialize for us often seem to spring from
deep within us. They may be initiated from our mind but it's our body
that carries our intention forward.
In Brand Authenticity, I talk about how our business
is an expression of our Soul's Divine Mission (yes, some pretty spiritual
concepts you may not have expected from this marketing woman!). I
believe that when we really "have a feel for" an intention,
two things are happening. One is that our body (re: our actions) becomes
in alignment with our intention so that we do the things we're supposed
to do to help make it happen. The other thing that happens is that
we are connected to the Divine and allowing the Universe to say, "Oh,
you wanted this? Here you go!"
So, what is an intention you have right
now? Yes, world peace would be wonderful but I recommend
choosing something small and relatively insignicant to play with at
first. Combine these four crucial components (you can use the list
above as a check-list to keep you on track) and see how quickly what
you want-or something even better!-shows up for you!
