The Miracle of Giving
Admin Text-Only Editing - Text Only Admin

I want to share an inspiring story from my friend, Sam. He has some friends – Sofia and her daughter Erica. Sofia works hard as a librarian and her husband is a truck driver. Erica just graduated from high school and wanted to go to college. She could not afford a college far away so she decided that she would start at a local junior college. Erica is a smart girl and did very well in high school, so it was not a matter of her grades holding her back, it was finances.

She signed up for some classes and was excited to go. The problem was that she could not find a way there. Her father was on the road and her mother needed the only car they had to get to work. The family was strapped and just could not afford another car. Erica was willing to work a job to pay for gas and insurance but just did not have the initial money to invest in even a small used car. All of the available funds she had went to paying for her school supplies and books.

And now just for fun…
Terri Zwierzynski - The Solo-CEO: Content Marketing Strategist

Linda Dessau tagged me in her blog post! She shared seven unusual things about herself and then challenged me (and six others) to do the same! And although this blog is usually all about building your solo business, what good is it being a solo entrepreneur if you can’t have some fun, too!?

Will You See It as a Big Opportunity or Will You Throw In the Towel?
Michele Pariza Wacek (Michele PW) - Love-Based Biz Strategist and Copywriter

I’m at the Dan Kennedy’s Info Marketing Summit, and the first presentation this morning was Dan talking about how info marketers should respond to this economy.
His view is the economy has changed…for the long haul. It’s not going back to what it used to be any time soon. We’re in a recession and it’s where we’re going to stay.
However, he also said this is the very best time to make money and find new opportunities. Because a lot of businesses are either going to give up or simply muddle along, not taking advantage of what this economy could give them. If you’re committed to being successful, this could be your time to shine.
It’s an interesting thought. A recession could be a gift. It could teach you how to be a better business person so not only you succeed during the recession but you’re then positioned for mega-success once the recession is over.
What are your thoughts? Are we really in a recession or will the economy bounce back quickly? And if we are in a recession, how do you think we should view it?

The Power of Gratitude

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and if there’s one thing we can take from this holiday that will transform our lives, it’s the habit of gratitude. There is a power in gratitude that enables us to tap into blessings, receive abundance, seize opportunities, and find joy in life. It’s especially fascinating when you look at how you can bring gratitude into your business – a key attraction energy for creative entrepreneurs!

So What’s My Secret To Staying Happy AND Sane In The Midst Of So Much Going On?
Admin Text-Only Editing - Text Only Admin

While there ARE moments when the enormity of all that’s going on feels a bit overwhelming, the truth is, everything is flowing into place as if by magic.

The secret is to have people around you who love you. Right now feels like an old fashioned barn raising to me. Every one of my family is pitching in to help out, my team is pulling their weight, my husband Richard is working his butt off and I’m dishing out gratitude like candy canes at Christmas.

The Grateful Life of a Solo Entrepreneur
Terri Zwierzynski - The Solo-CEO: Content Marketing Strategist

Warren Whitlock’s recent blog post, Do You Want the Life of An Author?, really cracked me up! Aside from the humor, it’s also a commentary on how a mindset of gratitude can affect the choices we make as solo business owners — and how we feel about our lives and businesses at the end of the day.

His story could be a day in the life of just about any solo entrepreneur who works from home…and I’m sure there are lots more fun stories like this out there (please do share below!)

Thanksgiving – The Gift in Itself
Admin Text-Only Editing - Text Only Admin

When so much time is spent each year on acquiring more or worrying about not having enough, it is refreshing to have a day set aside as a reminder to take stock and count your blessings. Have you found yourself feeling a little down lately? Are your thoughts centered from a place of lack? Are you feeling the beginning of winter blues? If so, there is no time like the present to begin your “Giving Thanks List”.

Twitter: Why a Long Username is NOT in Your Best Interest
Sandra P. Martini - Business Growth & Marketing Expert

Have you noticed that while many people user their names for Twitter (a great idea in my opinion), some use much longer usernames, such as their first name and the name of their business.

For example, SandyAtMyBusinessName

What’s wrong with this?

While having your name and your business name is a great idea for remind people who you are, with Twitter, it’s too much.

LAW OF ATTRACTION: The Law of Attraction
Admin Text-Only Editing - Text Only Admin

Are you aware of what a powerful creator you are? Do you know that everything that is happening to you or has ever happened to you is, without exception, in full response to your thoughts – and more importantly – the emotions behind those thoughts? Take a look at your life. There are probably some areas you’re really happy with and some areas you’re not so happy with. You may even believe you are a victim of your circumstances. I’m here to tell you, you are not a victim! It’s simply a matter of understanding how to play the Game (of Life) by understanding the rules…the Laws that define the Game.

Would you agree that whether you believe in the law of gravity or not, it exists? It is the same with Universal Laws. They exist and affect you whether you are aware of them or not. However, Universal Laws are far more powerful than gravity. Gravity affects earth. Universal Laws are infinite and beyond all boundaries.
