Business Plans and Goals: What To Do When It’s Not Working
Terri Zwierzynski - The Solo-CEO: Content Marketing Strategist

A few weeks ago I wrote about my frustrations of not making progress toward my goals, especially when it seemed the cause was waiting for other people to do their “thing” so I could move forward.

In the weeks since then, I think I’ve learned some lessons about why this might happen — the big picture. You see, I’m a “there is a reason for everything” kind of person. And so when we finally went to the hot tub store to put down a deposit, and walked away without doing so, I felt there was a lesson in there somewhere. I realize not everyone thinks this way — and so as always, your mileage may vary 🙂

Find Time to Extend Your Blog’s Reach with Tweet Old Post
Paula Eder - The Time Finder Expert, Founder of Finding Time

Finding time to create useful and interesting content and post it on your blog is so important if you’re looking to connect and share your ideas, interests, and expertise on-line!  And if you’ve been blogging for awhile, you probably have a wonderful cache of valuable information on your blog, going back for months … or even years.

You may have an archive and a listing of your post categories in your sidebar.  And maybe you offer readers the option of searching through your posts.  But really, once a post is no longer visible on your landing page, it’s likely that few people are going to see it unless it comes up on a search, or you repurpose it somehow.

Fabienne Fredrickson - Founder of Boldheart.com (Previously ClientAttraction.com)

From time to time I’ll be posting my Small Business Success Tips on CNN’s Headline News site and I’ll share them here with you as well.

Did you know that 95% of entrepreneurs in the United States make less than $100,000 a year? Many entrepreneurs, especially in this current economy, are simply setting their sights too low!

Now is the perfect time to set your intentions for what you want for your business this year, then to put a plan of action in place to achieve just that.

Watch my video tips on making more money (and serving more clients and customers) in your small business in 2011.

Here’s to your success!

Results aren’t guaranteed…
Admin Text-Only Editing - Text Only Admin

Last week, I posted a very real help wanted ad in my quest for a good coach for me.  And I’ve gotten a couple of interesting applications, which I’ll keep you updated on, and am still keeping my options open.

However, since writing the post, I’ve been seeing a phrase that is really irking me:

Results aren’t guaranteed. They are earned.

How to Find and Add Images to Your Blog Posts
Admin Text-Only Editing - Text Only Admin

Do you ever wonder where bloggers are finding the images they include in their posts?

The answer is… well, lots of places!

Some things to know if you want to include images in your blog posts:

1. Don’t just do a Google image search and grab an image.  You want to be sure that you know where an image came from and what its license is.

Your Stories are the Key
Lisa Bloom - Speaker, Author, Coach, Storyteller

Everything is a little brighter after the rain.

The colors sharper, the air more crisp.

My friend sent me a photograph, 3 weeks after  the dreadful forest fires that spread across  the carmel, flowers are beginning to bud and  signs of rebirth are appearing.

I’m sitting on a bus with the company that I am about to do a workshop with.

Spirits are high, I’m not sure it’s possible to climb up the steep steps of a large tour bus without being brought back to the stories of  school trips and riotous youth movement days out.

How to Publish Your Blog on Kindle
Michele A Scism - Small Business Consultant and Marketing Strategist

Did you know that an estimated 10.3 million U.S. homes have e-readers? That is a lot of potential readers for your blog.  Would you like to know how to publish your blog on kindle?

I actually got this idea from my friends Shahar and Nash Boyayan of Buzz Boosters.  I read and article Shahar wrote called “Let’s Market to 10 Million Homes For Free”.  In the article she pointed out that we are missing a huge opportunity if we don’t publish our blog feed on Amazon’s Kindle.

The Most Important Rule
Admin Text-Only Editing - Text Only Admin

A recent study conducted by Sales and Marketing Executives International concluded that 81% of major sales are closed at some point after the seventh contact.

Does this information surprise you? If so, you are probably breaking the single most important rule of sales – follow up. Many times, customers are truly interested in your product, but fail to make the purchase because you are not as memorable as you think. (Sorry to break the news to you!) Look. Life happens, people forget things and if you are not there to remind them, they will pass your offer by repeatedly.

Back up your New Year’s Resolutions
Nina East - Wordpress Customization & Setup Expert

It’s the beginning of a new year, so it’s resolution time, right?

Every New Year’s people set resolutions…but rarely do they follow-through beyond a couple of weeks (or less!).

Sometimes it’s because they aren’t really committed, but more often, it’s because they don’t have a system in place that makes it EASY.

That’s because of The Law of New Year’s Resolutions

The more you have to DO to keep a resolution, the less likely you are to keep it.

Live Events: Four Things I Learned Last Year
Terri Zwierzynski - The Solo-CEO: Content Marketing Strategist

It had been since 2003 (I think!) since I’d been to a live event — and then in 2010 I jumped in and went to three live events within 3 months — traveling cross-country for two of them! I was exhausted and overwhelmed — but at the same time, exhilarated and delighted to connect in person with so many wonderful solo entrepreneurs!

Along the way, I learned some key lessons about attending live events and how to make them work for me. I hope you’ll add your own tips in the comment section below!
