Laura West Interviewed for Going Pro – A New Online Magazine for Women Entrepreneurs
Admin Text-Only Editing - Text Only Admin

I am honored to be one of the 17 women interviewed for the premiere issue of Going Pro online magazine. This online magazine is beautiful, inspirational and full of practical information for how real women grow their businesses.

My interview is one among these other successful women, including Alicia Forest, Alexis Neely Martin, Gina Bell and many others.

When I received the preview copy last weekend, I literally read it “cover to cover.” I really enjoyed the interviews of my colleagues and the realness we all shared about our business growth and personal growth. One truth telling I’ll share here: When asked do we ever doubt or get scared any more, every one of us pretty much said, “Every day. All the time.” You’ll really get that running a business is as much a spiritual growth journey for yourself as is knowing all the nuts and bolts.

Recycling is More Than Just for Earth Week
Admin Text-Only Editing - Text Only Admin

It’s Earth Week! And as you are focusing more on how you can recycle items in your home and business, have you thought about recycling your content as well?

Repurposing your information makes good business sense. It’s a good way to squeeze out as much value as possible from what you already have.  And repurposing also helps your customers by providing fantastic information in a variety of ways.

Here are a few ideas to help you recycle  your content from the Complete Online/Offline Marketing System:

1.  Take a special download report and use the information for articles. The report is only available for download on your site but you can use several articles within the report to distribute to article directories. Those articles will then work to bring you new subscribers to your site.

Mobile Apps to Boost Productivity
Nina East - Wordpress Customization & Setup Expert

Your mobile phone can do many things for you, including enhancing your productivity!

You might think your smartphone is cool just because you can tweet, email, google, check in at the airport, or check in at your local YMCA (my YMCA is looking at implementing this.) But really, it can do and be so much more. Chances are you already have a whole slew of apps on your phone already. The question is…are they adding to, or taking away from, your productivity?

Whether you use an Android or iPhone, you can download many third-party applications to help you stay on task, remember what you need to do or what you agreed to, and generally keep yourself organized so you don’t waste valuable time.

How Efficient is Your Marketing?
Michele Pariza Wacek (Michele PW) - Love-Based Biz Strategist and Copywriter

Spring break is over and school is back in session and I’ve just started my Complete Online/Offline Marketing System program, and in honor of that, I’ve included 5 tips on how you can reuse and repurpose your content:

1. Take a special download report and use the information for articles. The report is only available for download on your site but you can use several articles within the report to distribute to article directories. Those articles will then work to bring you new subscribers to your site.

2. Use products to create an autoresponder series (which is a series of emails that are programmed to be sent out automatically). If you have an info product available for sale (or a free one) you can take snippets of it and turn it into an autoresponder series. This way your customers can preview the information through the AR series and the AR series can promote the actual product.

How to Use Blog Ads to Make Money by Darren Rowse
Michele A Scism - Small Business Consultant and Marketing Strategist

I was YouTube surfing and found this video from Darren Rowse from Problogger.net.  When I speak to people about blogging I hear a common question – “How do I make money with my blog?”  One of the ways is to place ads from say google ads.  I have not done this yet but have thought about it.  However, I am conflicted as to what my readers would think about that.

Two Weeks
Admin Text-Only Editing - Text Only Admin

Take a deep breath, close your eyes and imagine how you’d respond to the following scenario:

You’ve been told that you have only two weeks left to live. Now, after the shock wears off, what would you do next? How different would the next two weeks be compared to the way you’ve been living thus far? Would it be any different at all?

Take a look around at the day to day lives of your friends and family members. It seems to be human nature to put off one’s idea of happiness until…”I graduate,” “I earn and save more,” “I get married,” or “I’m done raising my family.” THEN, I’ll be able to play, to have fun and travel, or pursue my dream. What’s up with that? Why should all of the other things come first? Why not simultaneously? Have you wasted what could be very precious time by putting your life on hold until – whenever?

Four Ways to Annoy Your Twitter Followers
Terri Zwierzynski - The Solo-CEO: Content Marketing Strategist

Last month I wrote about the Four Ways You are Annoying Your Facebook Friends. I’d like to follow that up today with the same thing, but this time on Twitter.

Many of these are simply newbie mistakes…understandable, but I hope as a newbie you’ll fix these quickly.

Tell Clients What To Expect, Upfront
Fabienne Fredrickson - Founder of Boldheart.com (Previously ClientAttraction.com)

My clients and I seem to talk a lot about implementing referral systems in business. Once a client and I have set up a few of the 10 steps of the Client Attraction System®, there always comes a time when referrals (or shall we say, the lack of them) becomes the hot topic to focus on in our coaching.

In fact, almost everyone I speak to about his or her business does almost nothing to generate referrals, preferring instead to wait for them to self-generate. Problem is, these referrals don’t always come as quickly as we’d like, right? And for many people, it often feels awkward to come right out and ask (although I have ways and systems for that too.)

Well, there is a whole list of things you can do to get more referrals, instead of leaving it to chance. Here’s one of them:

Find Time by Breaking Your Gargantuan Goals into Actionable Steps!
Paula Eder - The Time Finder Expert, Founder of Finding Time

Finding time to get everything you need to do onto your To Do Lists … and then manage those lists so that they don’t overwhelm you … is really worth the up front investment.  It takes practice and commitment, and no one system is going to be a perfect fit for everyone.

In fact, one of the keys as you work with these lists is to listen to the advice of the experts, try it, and slowly develop a process that works for you.  There’s no right or wrong about this – YOU are the key!

Along those lines, I had a great question yesterday from Wendy J. who e-mailed me at paula@thetimefinder.com with a question about working with BIG goals.  Here’s part of her e-mail:
