Giving Away Too Much is Actually a Disservice
Fabienne Fredrickson - Founder of Boldheart.com (Previously ClientAttraction.com)

When you speak to groups or run a teleclass, you want to share enough information to accomplish three goals:

1. Demonstrate your expertise
2. Provide insight about the topic
3. Offer some real value to listeners

Delivering on these three goals will help you connect with prospects and attract new clients. For some people, they may have a tendency to give away too much information for free. You may be the kind of person who cares about them and wants to take care of them. Or you might feel you have to give everything away for people to like you.

Confirmed Opt-in May Reduce Your Opt-in Rate…
Marty Marsh - Follow-Up & Stay-In-Touch Marketing Strategist

Confirmed opt-in may reduce your opt-in rate, but ensures you have bona fide subscribers on your list.

Not everyone will confirm their subscription even if they had every intention of doing so. Hopefully, they’ll remember one day or return to your site.

And sure, that is lost potential because they could have been a qualified buyer.

The trade-off in losing a subscriber now and again because they don’t confirm is far out-weighed by the benefits derived from having a clean opt-in list.

Someone can accuse you of being a spammer later on but with a confirmed opt-in, that complaint will simply be dismissed.

Find Time to Keep Yourself Focused and on Track with This One Simple Tip!
Paula Eder - The Time Finder Expert, Founder of Finding Time

Finding time to stay on track, especially if much of your work must be done on-line, can be a very big challenge.  There are so many potential distractions that can pull you away from your planned work.  Do you notice that you ‘lose time’ when you’re at your computer?  It’s a very common problem and may well be your biggest time drain.

But don’t worry!  Here’s one simple and sure-fire way to keep yourself focused and on track when you sit down to work at your computer:  Use a timer!

There really is no better way to create time boundaries for yourself so that you can stay focused and on-track.  There are lots of different kinds of timers that you can use – some on-line and some of the egg-timer variety.  Both can work just fine; I personally prefer the egg-timer type, as I can use it to stay on track, not just at the computer, but when I’m doing other things around the house and farm.

3 Keys to Enjoying Summer AND Growing Your Biz
Michele Pariza Wacek (Michele PW) - Love-Based Biz Strategist and Copywriter

Who says you can’t do it at all?

Now that summer is here, the lure of playing hokey is warring with the responsibility of getting something done in your business.

But what if it didn’t have to be that way? What if you could do it ALL — make money, grow your business AND have time to play?

Here are 3 keys to having your cake and eating it too:

1. Plan your time off. Now I’m sure you already have your vacations blocked off, but what about afternoons off? Long weekends? Go ahead and plan those as well and get them on the calendar (because you know if you don’t plan your time off it’s not going to happen). Plus if you have time blocked off in your calendar then you can relax and focus during work time because you know you have your “play” dates already accounted for.

No Excuses
Admin Text-Only Editing - Text Only Admin

Sometimes we go too easy on ourselves.  We let excuses get in the way of what we really want.

The economy is bad.

No one is buying.

If I only could be like (fill in the blank of the guru du jour), I would make more money.

My list isn’t big enough.

It’s easy to make excuses for when we don’t live up to our potential. And it’s easy to understand why we do it: we go through life learning to adjust our self-concept in light of both failures and successes we encounter.  Failures hurt our ego and our sense of self worth.  So by lowering the expectation and making an excuse, we give ourselves permission to fail because holding that standard high is emotionally difficult.

Caine’s Arcade – I Want The Fun Pass!
Admin Text-Only Editing - Text Only Admin

This viral video has been warming hearts left and right around the globe, including mine. In fact, the first time I saw it I got a little choked up. Tears of joy welled up, along with feelings that this world is a great place  and the knowing that children hold hope for us all.

So we’ve got this sweet little boy named Caine. He’s spending the summer hanging out in his dad’s used auto parts store in East LA. Caine takes a bunch of empty cardboard boxes and turns them into an arcade. But not just a pint sized arcade, but an entire front-of-the-store arcade.

Kids with cardboard boxes… the possibilities are endless. But then this young filmmaker came by the store, saw the ingenuity in Caine’s efforts, and… watch the video to get the rest of the story.

I relate to Caine. He’s creative, inventive, risk taking yet tender hearted. He moved forward with his ideas but also kept a part guarded, needing assurance that it was safe for him to show up in this way. The flash mob you’ll see in this video are, in my opinion, a band of angels watching over Caine and giving him the assurance to keep moving. To keep going. Never quit.

All of you reading this post are my band of angels during this public rebranding effort.

You Have to Invest Either Time or Money to Build Your List
Fabienne Fredrickson - Founder of Boldheart.com (Previously ClientAttraction.com)

Investing Money – Pay Per Click Advertising

The first way to build a powerful list that is fast and easy is to simply spend money on Pay Per Click advertising through either Google or Facebook. This is certainly not the cheapest way of course, but it will rapidly build a strong list of interested people. Your investment can be significant however, so this might not appeal or be possible for everyone.

Investing Time – Writing, Networking, Speaking…

The second way to build a powerful list is to do it by investing your time. This is the cheapest method because you are doing a lot of list building activities and manually adding people to your list. Some examples include:
