Be Strategic with Your Time When Leading a Group Program
Fabienne Fredrickson - Founder of Boldheart.com (Previously ClientAttraction.com)

If you are just starting to run group programs, finding the right time slot may feel like a challenge. Sometimes my clients want to please everyone, so they ask the group that is forming what are the best times for them. What I have found as a rule of thumb is that whenever you ask for a consensus, you open up a huge can of worms that you never can close for two reasons.

“Be strategic with your time while leading a group program to ensure everyone can participate and get value.”

1. No one will ever agree and you’ll be stuck because now that you’ve asked, somebody will be disappointed since you didn’t pick his or her time.

Find Time to Create Balance Amidst Change Using Flexible Focus
Paula Eder - The Time Finder Expert, Founder of Finding Time

Finding time to be effective when in transition requires extra vigilance, doesn’t it? Routines and patterns that once worked for you are disrupted. How do you create balance for yourself, and keep tasks from slipping out of your schedule during times of change?

Flexible focus is a practical and effective skill to help you scan the changing landscape and coordinate your tasks and responsibilities. Think of a farmer, who notices and retrieves the wandering calf while still keeping an eye on the whole herd. It’s all about alternating close-range focus with broad peripheral vision.  The farmer might incorporate binoculars into her scanning routine as she surveys her acreage.  For you, it might be your favorite to-do list, reminder app or on-line calendar that helps you keep an eye on the big picture, as well as the details.

How SELLING Nearly Destroyed My Business And What I Did About It
Admin Text-Only Editing - Text Only Admin

If you follow me in social media or read my weekly ezine, you probably have already learned I’m a pretty down to earth person.

What you see is what you get, whether we’re emailing about business or texting about getting our kids to a playdate. If you’re doing ab crunches next to me at the gym, I may go into a bit about gratitude (if I’m feeling it) OR you might hear some really un-evolved expletives. No apologies.
Being real and being honest seem to pay off, don’t let anyone convince you otherwise.

For instance:

Like many of you, I sometimes struggle with the whole concept of “SELLING”. I’ve taken countless trainings, read books, tried to model myself after other people, but I never really felt good about it.

Who to Connect With Online
Michele A Scism - Small Business Consultant and Marketing Strategist

When I first started to market my business, on social media it became quickly obvious that my social media audience was not just my potential clients. There are 3 groups of people that I am trying to connect with online.

1. Past Clients, Current Clients and Potential Clients – Of course you knew I would start with this one. The best place to start on social media is with your current and past clients. In the next section I will give you some ideas about how you can find your potential clients on social media.

Beat Stress and Have a Better Business
Admin Text-Only Editing - Text Only Admin

Ahh stress. The killer of many a business.

Now don’t get me wrong, a little stress is actually good, as it could serve to help you function at your best. However, stress that seems a little too much could take a physical, as well as mental, toll to your body. And that means your business may suffer.

So how should you do it then? The following are tips and advice to help manage stress.

Write it out; schedule it out.

It is best to write down everything that seems to be overwhelming. You will find a things-to-do-list much easier to manage than having errands all crumpled up in your head. Writing down the tasks, and putting a specific schedule and time to do them, helps anyone manage activities one chunk at a time. Crossing out an activity that has already been accomplished is very rewarding and could actually help you feel more relaxed when doing the other tasks at hand.

Find Time to Enhance Your Productivity with Free Tools
Paula Eder - The Time Finder Expert, Founder of Finding Time

Finding time to be as productive as possible is often a balancing act.  What I mean by that is that when you’re looking to amp up your productivity, you constantly balance innovation and efficiency.

Your familiar tools and processes are the ones that you use with the greatest ease – so that saves you time and energy in the short-term.  However, tools and processes are constantly being improved; so it’s helpful to know the ‘latest and greatest’ so that you can keep ahead of the curve and upgrade your software, and perhaps some of your work practices, as things change and improve.  This may mean some lost time initially, but it will improve your efficiency over time.

This is why I like to occasionally scan on-line venues like Lifehacker and Mashable, or list sites like 12 Most, to see if there are new productivity tools that I haven’t heard about yet.

Content is Priceless… Hire a Virtual Assistant to Help
Sophie Zollmann - Certified Online Business Manager/Social Media Manager

Business content is crucial when you run an online business. It’s the only way to communicate with your market. If you’re sharing the same topics every week or month, your market is going to get bored and move on to someone else. That is not a good thing so it’s important to have different topics to work with each week.

One of the most important tools you can use in your business is a newsletter or ezine. If you continually add the same content over and over, you’ll begin to see unsubscribe lists that are a mile long. You don’t want that so it’s important to have different content each time you send it out. One way to make this happen is to have your Virtual Assistant research relevant topics. Any topic that is related to what you offer is good content. As long as you know what you’re talking about when you write your newsletter or ezine, you’ll be able to use the topics she finds.

Fabienne Fredrickson - Founder of Boldheart.com (Previously ClientAttraction.com)

“Easily attract clients from speaking gigs with a proven formula and a step-by-step system that works.”

If you have been out there giving presentations, then you want to know how to maximize the number of clients you can get from each free talk. This is how I did it for many years.

1. The set up
Start your talk with your compelling story and introduce yourself. Then explain what you will be talking about so people have an idea of what to expect. This helps the attendees feel comfortable and at ease with what is coming up.

Admin Text-Only Editing - Text Only Admin

Having a blog is an excellent marketing tool for a solo service business owner. But for many business owners the real issue is creating enough content on a regular basis to make it an effective strategy … they could really do with some blog post ideas. To get the most bang for your buck from your blog, you need to be posting new content two to three times every week … and for many of you this is a real sticking point!

Business owners either:

  • Don’t have the time to write two to three new posts each week; or
  • They simply don’t know what to write about (writer’s block)
