Overcoming Failures to Reach Success
Admin Text-Only Editing - Text Only Admin

The word failure is often used to describe a situation in which your desired goals were not realized at a specific point in time. There are many reasons that could have played a part in your goal not being realized and absolutely none of them have to do with your value as a person.

Let’s break down some of the ideas behind unhealthy views of failure and see how taking a more positive approach can help you realize success:

A Nifty Way to Choose Colors for Your Website
Holly Chantal - Founder of The Land of Brand: Branding Strategist and Website Designer

Choosing your website colors can turn out to be way more complicated than it should. You want to make the site look classy, but not boring. Colorful, but not busy. You want it to appeal to women, but not turn off men. This list goes on, and your color choices can play a role in all of these things.

Now I could give you a lesson on color theory used by designers, or even the psychological effects of color choices on your website (though I’d have to look all of that up on wikipedia). But the truth is, none of that matters. And even if you knew HOW you were supposed to choose colors on a color wheel to make your website pretty, unless you are artistic and understand these things, your color scheme is still going to look like a mess.

Don’t lose hope though! There is a very cool and easy way for you to choose stellar website colors.

Textdown Works from Your Browser and Saves Time
Paula Eder - The Time Finder Expert, Founder of Finding Time

Textdown is a text editor that my VA has been experimenting with these past few weeks. She says that it saves time, so I thought I’d share it with you.

Let me preface this my saying that I am NOT the most tech-savvy person on the planet by a long shot. But this tool sounded helpful to me, especially if you like working from within your browser (as opposed to shifting back and forth between the browser and material on your desktop).

Planning Your Marketing Content Using an Editorial Calendar
Admin Text-Only Editing - Text Only Admin

Psst. Hey you. Do you know what content you’re going to publish to your website this week? Or are you just “winging it?”

When it comes to creating content does it seem like you’re flying by the seat of your pants? You have a blog post due today and an email due tomorrow. And there you sit with a blank page and no clue what you’re going to write about, much less details like how you ?will link the content together to send a cohesive message to your audience. If this sounds like you, using an editorial calendar may save you from feeling overwhelmed.

So, what exactly is an Editorial Calendar?

A Tribute to My Mom
Admin Text-Only Editing - Text Only Admin

My mom just passed away.  It was a shock.  She had been sick for a while, but no one expected her to go so soon.  I spoke at her funeral.  As I reflected about all the amazing qualities of my mom, I was reminded of all the lessons she taught me.  So many of those lessons have influenced who I am as a business owner today and who I will become tomorrow.

I’d like to share them with you.

Turn Website Visitors Into Clients by Making the First Move
Holly Chantal - Founder of The Land of Brand: Branding Strategist and Website Designer

I’m not sure what the exact figure is, but I’m pretty sure that if you can talk directly with a potential client that is remotely interested in what you do, that you are at least 1 million times more likely to close the deal.

Your disadvantage as an entrepreneur is that in order to actually talk with your prospects you have to get them to make the first move, which isn’t as easy as you would like it to be. In fact, it can be downright difficult!

Tips For Creating A Goal Map To Reach Business Success
Sophie Zollmann - Certified Online Business Manager/Social Media Manager

Creating goals for your business is one of the most important things you can do to reach success. If you try to keep them in your head, you’re bound to forget them and that’s not what you need or want with your business. The best thing to do is write them down, but if you don’t do it the right way they aren’t going to do you any good.

Detailed goals are what you need, but if you don’t know the steps you need to follow to reach them, you’re not going to go anywhere. So the best thing to do is to create a goal map that shows you everything you need. It’ll take time to create this map, but it’ll be worth it in the long run because you’ll know exactly what to do and you’ll reach your goals.
