As a Success Solutionist and Lifestyle Architect, I coach game-changing, high-achieving women who are employedpreneurs, seasoned business owners, startup business owners, and career professionals.
The one thing they all have in common is they are all striving to achieve their own definition of success while adding to their bottom line.
If you are not sure how to create and embrace your own definition of success, I share the process in my Amazon best seller: Fit, Fine & Fabulous in Career, Business & Life.
Below is the checklist I suggest to those game-changing, high-achieving women who want to Get Connected, Get Noticed, Get Known and Get Paid
1. BLOG SEVERAL TIMES A WEEK.
Studies have shown that publishing a blog is the absolute best way to brand you online. It allows you to share your expertise, showcase your personality, and garner recurring readers who can become raving fans.
2. BECOME A SPEAKER.
When you are a recognized speaker who has mastered the skills of delivering quality content, you become known as an expert and your credibility reaches its highest peak.
As a member of the National Speakers Association (NSA), and former member of Toastmasters International, I truly believe that anyone can learn to speak well with enough practice.
3. DEVELOP SIGNATURE WORDS, PHRASES AND COLORS.
One of my signature words that has helped my SEO ranking is ‘high-achieving women’.
Using this phrase has helped me to become known as the coach who works with high-achieving women and I now dominate/own this phrase.
Remember phrases or words can tell what you do, get you known and reinforce your brand.
Always wearing your signature color(s) can also enhance your recognition factor. When I speak, I always have on something that is purple or lime green. People will associate your colors with your brand – any time they see those colors they will think of you. Don’t forget to use those same colors on your website, marketing collaterals and business cards.
Why not give some thought to what colors can help to brand you?
4. CREATE AN INFOGRAPHIC.
Infographics are all the rage! Your personal branded infographic becomes your ‘visual’ resume. Paper resumes are great, but a ‘visual’ resume is stellar.
There are online tools that you can use to create your own infographic fairly easily.
5. BRAND YOUR PHOTO.
Your photo like your logo is a great way to brand you and instantly identify who you are. It also gives people a great first impression of you and what you represent.
In today’s marketplace, we meet people online almost everyday – long before we meet them in person. Your photo can play a critical role in establishing your credibility and ‘like’ factor.
Your photo should be professional, of course, or one that shows you speaking or possibly coaching a small group. Opt for more lifestyle images versus portrait images.
6. SCHEDULE REGUAR EVENTS.
Events show people that you’re passionate about what you do. Events are a great way to get others involved in your brand.
Events are also a wonderful way to network and grow your business or advance your career. You may want to create podcasts and/or webinars. They will definitely expand your global reach.
7. DEVELOP A COMPELLING STORY.
People love a compelling story and it’s an important component to your branding. Remember anyone can boost about success but it takes candid courage to publicly share the tough times between your high points, or those less-than-stellar experiences that made you who you are.
A unique but authentic story about how you got to where you are, the challenges, struggles and bloopers make your brand more memorable and it helps you to stand out. Don’t be afraid to talk about those setbacks or the failures.
Branding is designed to get you connected, get you noticed, get you known and ultimately get you paid. My signature manta is ‘doing different things and then doing things differently’. I believe that you must use creative methods to show how you are different and the unique value you bring to your craft.
I have discovered that one’s branding success will skyrocket when personal passion is seen and heard through your message, your signature, who you are, and what you represent.
