In part 1 of New Attitude – New Successes – New Year, I recommended that you start 2015 differently. You can start by: 1) defining what success looks like for you; 2) taking one step at a time; 3) changing (modifying, improving or transforming) your lifestyle; and 4) developing a new attitude!
Hopefully your intentions (goals) are set for this year. If not, as you set your intentions (goals) for 2015; why not strive to be more aware of those special moments (the first step, the tenth step, the accomplishments, etc.) as possible?
Then start your new attitude by placing the highest value on hearing your inner voice and finding time for stillness in your life.
I would like to suggest that you add to your intentions (goals) list the commitment that you will get more rest, and the proper nutrition to generate the energy and enthusiasm you need for a great life.
Start by looking at your bedtime as a process. Try to go to bed at the same time every night. Start to “power down” at least one hour before bedtime. I personally like to enjoy peaceful music, sometimes a relaxing book, or just thinking about something funny – laughter is good for the soul.
Give up being on social media and even using your laptop or tablet one hour before bedtime. Then occupy your mind with positive affirmations and thoughts. Visualize your future!
Don’t shy away from sleep aids like earplugs or an eye mask. It’s important that you make comfort a priority. The next thing you know, you will be in a blissful sleep (it works for me every time)!
You can make 2015 different. Start by: 1) defining what success looks like for you; 2) taking one step at a time; 3) changing (modifying, improving or transforming) your lifestyle; and 4) developing a new attitude!
