Solo-E Certified Experts Terms and Conditions

By submitting your application to become a Solo-E Certified Expert you agree to the following terms and conditions.

This Agreement binds the Terms of Service and its conditions thereof to all Services to our Solo-E Certified Experts (hereinafter referred to as "Expert" in this document.) Solo-E grants to the Expert a limited license and agrees to provide Services to the Expert, subject to the Terms and Conditions of this Agreement, in exchange for recurring payment of fees and while the Expert is not in breach of any Terms or Condition of this Agreement. Payment of fees constitutes the Expert’s agreement with the Terms and Conditions stated on this entire page.

NO SPAM

We have a zero-tolerance anti-spamming policy. You may not, at any time, send an unsolicited email message, whether commercial or not, to any Solo-E subscriber.

In keeping with US CANSpam laws, you may not contact any Solo-E subscriber or visitor to the Solo-E site unless you have already established a relationship (e.g., exchange of emails, participation in a survey, Twitter/Facebook/etc., offline contact) or transaction (they sign up for your newsletter, ebook or class, or buy a product, for example) with that person. You may not use any means to collect email addresses except those that are sent to you through the Solo-E.com Co-Registration
program.

In addition, any emails sent to your opt-in subscribers must comply with the CAN-SPAM rules of the United States. Specifically including:

  • Providing an unsubscribe link in each email. (If you process unsubscribes manually, make sure they are complete within 10 days maximum.)
  • Providing your physical (mailing) address and phone number in each email.
  • Using the true originating email address.
  • Using an accurate and descriptive Subject line.

Failure to comply with the above policies may result in permanent suspension from participation in the Solo-E Certified Expert program or any other Solo-E activity.

We recommend, for your own protection, that you make it explicit to participants and purchasers that they are being added to your ezine, mailing list, or other list(s), before they sign up or purchase; or, give them the opportunity at time of signup/purchase to opt out. Keeping track of data such as time and date of subscription and IP address is also recommended. Double-opt-in practices (where a confirmation email is sent and the recipient must click a link to confirm their interest) are most highly recommended. Sending a second confirmation email (in case of no response) is NOT recommended.

Intellectual Property

Protect the Intellectual Property of Others

Post only your own original material. Any material that is found to be the Intellectual Property of someone other than the submitter will be removed from Solo-E.com. We reserve the right to suspend your participation in the Solo-E.com Expert program and to remove all your listings from our site if you are found to violate the Intellectual Property rights of others. Additionally, your materials will be removed from the Solo-E.com site while such allegations are investigated.

If you intend to record a Teleclass for rebroadcast, you may do so only with the consent of all participants. (Suggestion: you may inform them at the beginning of the teleclass, offering them the option to hang up or just listen.)

Copyrights

You retain the sole copyright to material you submit, and may re-publish, distribute, create derivative works, etc., without limit; Solo-E.com has no rights to your material other than to publish it on our website and in our newsletters with your permission. Your name, copyright, and contact information will appear at the end of every listing that is accepted for publication.

Right to Decline Publication

Solo-E.com reserves the right to refuse to publish any information submitted, for any reason. Your original material will be destroyed in the Solo-E.com database if this happens, to protect your intellectual property.

Removal of Material

You may request the removal of your listing(s) at any time and for any reason. Please allow up to 7 days for the listing to be removed.

Solo-E.com reserves the right to remove listings at any time and for any reason. In most cases we will try to notify you before this happens and tell you the reason. However, there may be times or circumstances when this is not possible.

Solo-E.com reserves the right to remove any material that is not 100% honest. For instance, if you list a FREE Teleclass that is nothing more than a pitch for a FOR-FEE Teleclass.

Advertising

It IS NOT permissible for you to publish at Solo-E any articles, blog postings, ebooks or success stories that primarily promote, advertise, endorse, or otherwise market any particular business, product, or service, even if it is not your own (other than a book you are reviewing, of course.) It IS permissible for you to include a short blurb at the end of your blog postings, articles, ebooks etc., with a brief description of who you are and/or a product or service you provide, along with live link(s) to your website or product. The length of the blurb and number of live links allowed varies depending on the medium and is covered in our publishing guidelines.

It IS permissible for you to advertise your products and services within the listings of your classes and products.

Certified Expert Services Payment Terms

Billing

Expert agrees to recurring payment of the stated fee for a particular service at the stated interval (monthly, every 3 months, etc.) Solo-E reserves the right to change service fees and associated benefits at any time (we will provide advance notice via email).

Expert agrees to provide Solo-E with accurate and complete billing information. Your service will continue uninterrupted as long as your payments are current. If your credit card company refuses payment, or for any other reason your payment is not received within 5 days of the due date, we reserve the right to suspend your service. In the event that we allow your service to continue, and your payment is received at a later date, we reserve the right to adjust your renewal date to match what it would have been without the delay in payment.

Expert are encouraged to check and update their credit card information regularly by visiting the My Account page, accessible through the Experts-Only page.

Solo-E bills accounts in calendar month cycles, at the beginning of each period of service, determined by the day of the month that the user originally purchased the service and the period for which the user has signed up (monthly, every 3 months, etc.) Charges are due when billed by Solo-E. Experts will automatically be renewed/billed at the beginning of each period unless appropriate request for cancellation is made. Cancellation of service procedures are provided below; or, you can always contact us via email.

Accounts are prepaid for the period of time the user chooses. You can cancel at any time and you will not be billed again in the future. No refunds will be available for unused time or services.

Solo-E reserves the right to cancel access to service for Expert’s account(s) for any reason, including but not limited to misuse of the services, misrepresentation of the Expert’s business relationship with Solo-E, or an indication of credit problems including, but not limited to, rejection of credit card authorization or charges, disputed credit card charges and returned checks.

Cancellation

Future recurring membership payments can be cancelled at any time,and you will not be billed again in the future. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to the site through the
end of the term that has already been paid for. No refunds will be available for unused time or services.

You may cancel any future recurring payment by visiting the My Account page. Alternately, you may request cancellation via email. Email cancellation requests must be received by Solo-E at least two business days before the scheduled renewal.

Cancellations of the Expert’s account initiated by Solo-E due to violation of any of these terms are effective immediately and will result in immediate suspension of Expert’s access to the site, regardless of payment status. No refunds will be available for unused time or services.

Loss of Certification Status

Failure to adhere to these terms may, at our discretion, result in temporary suspension or permanent rescinding of your status as a Certified Expert, without refund. And if the quality of your classes and products declines, we’ll talk to you about it first, but we retain the right to suspend or revoke your status if you are no longer able to serve our members to our standards.

If your status as a Certified Expert is revoked, or you have cancelled services and your paid access expires, you may not continue to use the Solo-E Certified Expert logo on your website or elsewhere. Any content you provide on your or any other websites (article directories, for example) after your status changes must not refer to you as either a present or past Certified Expert.

Other Terms and Conditions

You also agree to abide by the general Terms and Conditions of the Solo-E.com website.
