Another week has just flown by. I can’t believe we’ve already passed the mid-February mark.

My dad — who’ll turn a very young 92 years old in April — says that when you get to be his age, time really flies. Well, I don’t know how it could go any faster than it feels like already.

I’ve always been one of those people who feels as though time is my enemy. Specifically, that there’s never enough of it. I think that largely stems from having not been very focused for much of my life.

I’m in the process of changing my attitude toward time and part of that change is that I’m going to stop complaining about a lack of time. That’s hard to do for someone like me who has always complained about lack of time.

This new attitude for me stems from my just reading — twice already and I’m on the third read now — the book, The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks.

It’s a wonderful book on many levels and focuses on helping you find your Zone of Genius. I love this book, and in it he has a chapter devoted to what he calls Einstein Time. That’s time defined like this:

“An hour with your beloved feels like a minute; a minute on a hot stove feels like an hour.”

There’s a lot more to it than that, of course, but I’ve made a commitment to live my life in Einstein Time from here on out.

And, most importantly, through this book, Mr. Hendricks also introduced me to a new mantra that I’ve adopted as my own:

“I expand in abundance, success, and love every day, as I inspire those around me to do the same.”

Perhaps it’s a mantra that you’d like to adopt as your own, too. I wrote this down on a bright yellow 3×5 card and I’m repeating it several times a day so I can “get” it.

If you’re looking to take your life to the next level, to conquer hidden fears, to live in Einstein Time yourself, then I suggest you read this book, too, and start living in a new paradigm.
