My 2015 theme is Play/Fun. (And this is a super scary, super big stretch for me, which you can also read about here.)
So, my first question to you is do you have a theme for the year?
If you do — fabulous. (I have another test for you in a bit so keep reading.) If you don’t, I would love to give you a gentle nudge right now to create one for 2015. (Trust me, it’s not too late.)
To get your juices flowing, here are a few examples of themes I’ve heard:
* Self love
Or more of a sentence or phrase of what you want to experience in your life in the coming year.
The best way to discover your theme is to let you intuition/guides/Universe/God/Inner Wisdom/etc. “tell” you what your theme is. You can also try journaling or meditating and see what comes up for you. Chances are there is something that’s resonating with you right now and if you can pause and be still, you’ll discover it.
Now, for the second test –what I didn’t write about yesterday but what I think is a crucial part of this theme-creating exercise is this:
Is it going to stretch you?
You see, while I think my Abundance theme of 2014 was a good theme and it certainly worked, I also think it didn’t stretch me enough.
Abundance (or some variation of financial abundance) is something I’ve been working on for probably the past 10 years.
As scary as it felt, it was time for another theme for me. And, as soon as I stopped listening to the “money fears,” I realized just how right and perfect Play/Fun was for me at this time.
Abundance is definitely a theme I plan to go back to, but for right now, it’s time to explore a different theme.
What about you? Is your theme really the right theme for you? Is it stretching you?
Or are you playing it safe?
Something to ponder this week.
