Continuing on with our five part series on social networking, next we’ll talk about Twitter and how it can help you grow your business. You’ll learn how it doesn’t matter what type of business you run, when you use Twitter the correct way you’ll see an increase in your business.
There are approximately 500 million open accounts on Twitter and approximately 170 million are what Twitter considers active. This means you have you literally thousands of people you can follow with the hopes of them following you back.
Twitter doesn’t have limits on the number of followers you can have or the number of posts you can make, so the sky is the limit. You must do things correctly though or the posts you make will help you to lose your followers more quickly than anything else.
You’ll need to make sure the posts you make are professional, error free, and grammatically correct. It’s also important to make sure you don’t have more business posts than personal posts as this shows all you care about is your business.
Studies show for every seven personal posts you make on Twitter it’s acceptable to make one business post. It’s important to make sure you use Twitter in this way as often as possible or you’ll find people won’t care about your posts and they’ll be overlooked every time you post.
While it’s easy to make posts on Twitter, finding the time to make them can be a challenge. If you find you’re in that situation you need to hire a Virtual Assistant. She’ll be able to not only write the posts, but she’ll be able to schedule the posts as well.
Twitter is a great tool to use when you’re trying to grow your business. It gives you the ability to share your message with your followers easily and quickly. When you use this very popular social media tool correctly, you’ll see your business pick up and you’ll begin to reach your goals.
