When you don’t work in the same office as your assistant, you may think it’s almost impossible to make things work. When your assistant has the ability to go to your computer to access your email, files, and calendar, it makes things a lot easier. Those things are not possible when your assistant doesn’t work in your office and it’s even more difficult when she doesn’t live in the same city or state as you do.
Most of the time, having someone work in your office will cost you more money than it would if you were to hire a Virtual Assistant. The reason for this is because you pay your in-office assistant for every minute she’s there, whether she’s working for you or sitting at the desk playing solitaire waiting for you to have work for her to do. That’s not good whether you have the budget for it or not. Who wants to waste their hard earned money on things that aren’t necessary? I’m sure you won’t find a single person out there willing to do that with their money.
Google has developed a way for you and your Virtual Assistant to work together, no matter where you’re at and what time of the day or night it is when you’re ready. Google has Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Drive/Documents right at your fingertips. You’ll have the ability to share your calendar and drive/documents with your assistant and you can give her your login information for your gmail account.
When you have the ability to share these things with your assistant, you won’t have to worry about using the most recent documents, you can call or email your assistant, and she can add things to your calendar. She will also have the ability to access your email and respond to those important client or customer messages that have come in while you’re gone. You won’t have to worry about a thing, because Google makes working with your Virtual Assistant easy.
If you find you have the need for an assistant, but don’t have the money to pay one to maybe work half the time for you and the other half of the time play games and search the internet, then you need to consider hiring a Virtual Assistant. She’ll have the ability to do almost everything an in-office assistant can do, and you won’t pay for the down time.
